Custom Design Process
At
Merry Richards Jewelers, the first step in custom creation is to
sketch the original design. One of our expert staff team members will sit with you, listen to your
ideas, and skillfully draft your dream design. With a working image in hand, computer aided design
(CAD) techniques are then used to continue perfecting your design, resulting in one of Merry
Richards Jewelers' master goldsmith hand carving the design as a three-dimensional wax model.
After agreeing upon a design, the mold is cast in gold, platinum, or other precious metal, and is
then adorned with all agreed upon engravings, detailing, and precious stones. Merry Richards
Jewelers has the additional unique distinction of owning a laser welding machine, which is ideal for
joining metal without removing or compromising any accompanying stones.
After completion of the piece's detailing, the staff at Merry Richards Jewelers gives the piece
one final polish and clean before presentation. In total, from design to execution, custom jewelry
